Monty Tooling

These are efforts to develop tools that make Monty easier to use and build with.

Tasks in the Monty tooling section relate to tools that can make Monty easier to use and build with. You can find some of the tools we currently use in the tools folder of this repository and as separate repositories on our GitHub Org.

For instance, some tools our researchers and/or engineers use are:

  • tbp.plot for interactive visualizations of what is going on inside of Monty's brain.
  • tbp.teleop to interactively control Monty's actions during an experiment and watch it learn and infer live (see Live Visualization with tbp.teleop).
  • lazyconfigs to quickly create new Monty experiment configs using a TUI.
  • tbp.floppy to count the number of FLOPs Monty performs during learning and inference.
